There is no point embarking on any kind of pet bird.
Having a pet bird at ur home, helps you to :
1. Reduce stress
2. Avoid loneliness
3. Gets a loving longlife companion.

I love finches. They are my pet birds. They always seems to be very active and loving. There are different variety of finches.
This is the most common estrildid finch. Its lifespan is from 2-5yrs. Its scientific name is Taeniopygia guttata.They love to live in large flocks.
Although, many finch species are kept as pets, zebra finches are the most popular bird owners.
They are known for energetic singing.They are generally hands-off birds for humans, however they are social with other members of their species. Its best to keep them in a large flight cage in pairs or groups.
In order to bond with your pet finch, you need to get them used to your voice and hand. Try giving them treats so that they create a positive association.
Nestling
It usually takes about 2 weeks for a female zebra finch to lay their eggs after mating. The eggs will take between 12-15days to hatch and then the hatchings will need to be raised for 2months by their mother before they can fend for themselves.
The birds tend not to be disturbed by noise or activity near their nest during hatching period.
The female deposits 2-6 blue-white, usually speckled eggs that hatch within 12 to 16 days. The young fledge 11 to 19 days after hatching. The pair usually produces two broods in a season.
