Aadhi Yogi

Adiyogi refers to “the first yogi” or Shankar as the first yogi.

In the yogic culture, Shiva is not only known as a God but also as the Adiyogi or the first Yogi. It is said that around 15,000 years ago he started performing an intense dance in the Himalayas, where the Lord resides. Lord Shiva’s intense dance would range from dancing wildly to sitting still.

One person who is largely responsible for this, who is of paramount significance in shaping the human consciousness is Shiva. In the yogic culture, Shiva is not known as a God, but as the first Guru or the Adi Guru. He is the Adi Yogi or the first Yogi.

The Adiyogi statue is a 34-metre-tall (112 ft), 45-metre-long (147 ft) and 25-metre-wide (82 ft) steel statue of Shiva with Thirunamam at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the “Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world. Designed by Jaggi Vasudev, it weighs around 500 tonnes (490 long tons; 550 short tons).Aadiyogistatuethe giant statue
